I was raised in California
but fell for a Canadian so now live in Halifax, Canada. I
majored in political science and anthropology at school - how far
from crafty is that? I have my mom to thank for my love of
crafting. Mom is an incredibly talented artist - I remember her
drawing illustrations for my very own books and making a doll of
myself that was like me in every way. Growing up, no member of the
family was safe from her restaurant napkin caricatures. From
her I developed this love of crafty things, but never felt I had
her talent or the time to develop it until recently. I have finally
given in to my crafty side and I LOVE IT! Thanks Mom!

Paper crafting has become
a passion for me and there's nothing better then YUMMY paper, sticky
tape, and ribbons! I discovered scrapbooking a few years ago while
my hubby was deployed to Iraq and really enjoyed the creative outlet…until…I
FOUND STAMPS and ALL the things you can alter with pretty paper!
It's hard for me to walk in any store and not want to cover the
shelves while I'm at it! When I'm not in my "lil' corner niche"
of the dining room, I'm a full time Mommy to Gracie (3.5), and Addison
(1). I've been married for nearly 7 years. My hubby
and I are currently stationed with the U.S. Marines in Brooklyn,
New York.

Although my first love is
stamping and paper, I also love creating altered and mixed media
projects. I enjoy trying new techniques and products, along
with using old favorites. My work is best described
as being classic, balanced and having clean lines. Art challenges
me. No two projects are ever the same. I am fortunate
to have found such a fulfilling and expressive hobby, and that I
have the time to experience it.
I was born and raised in Northern California, and now reside in
Louisiana. Gardening and architecture are two of my other
loves. If I am not in my art studio, you can most likely
find me in my yard tinkering among the flowers and plants, or sitting
with a sketchbook in hand drawing buildings and floorplans.

I'm married to Eric, and
we have three girls - Shelbie (15), Lindsie (6), and Audrie (4).
I was in banking for fifteen years before becoming a SAHM in 2003.
I've always been crafty! I started sewing when I was six,
I painted and became an avid scrapbooker by 1994. Believe
it or not, I used to think that stamping was craziness and required
too many supplies (ha!) But then four years ago, I went to
a stamping party, fell in love and have never looked back!
I love all things papercrafty! It allows me to combine all
my crafting "loves" into one art form. Anything goes!

Throughout my life I have
always been interested in some sort of crafting, Even as a child,
I can remember making cards for my mom and dad and my teachers.
At one point in time I made my own soaps, lotions and balms. It
wasn't until after college that I found my true calling: paper.
I love paper and everything that has to do with it! Not long after
discovering my passion for paper, I was introduced to stamping.
I am a stamper at my core, but I love to create all sorts of 3 dimensional
items. I am a mom to busy little girl, so my time to create is
worth it's weight in gold. When I am not creating, I enjoy spending
time with my husband, daughter, 2 dogs and cat at our home in Saginaw,
TX.

Carole Burrage

Carole Burrage (known
online as TruCarMa) has been seriously
papercrafting since the fall of 2006. She's been married for almost
16 years to Sean, and is currently a stay-at-home mom to their two
boys: Truman (age 12) and Carter (age 4); therein lies the mystery
of
her screen-name. Carole loves bright, bold colors and fun, funky
graphics, and especially enjoys creating tongue-in-cheek projects
that elicit giggles from others. Carole is a Dirty Dozen Alumni
of
Splitcoaststampers.com, and in addition to Glue, serves on design
teams for My Favorite Things, The Cat's Pajamas, and Flower Soft.
